Welcome to my website. My name is Pauline Hayward and I can offer counselling, psychotherapy and supervision based in Colchester town centre. I have been working as a counsellor in Essex in both the voluntary and public sectors for 9 years, specialising in substance misuse. I now practice privately. I am also an experienced lecturer and supervisor to students on counselling courses. I am committed to providing ethical, professional and sensitive counselling and psychotherapy in a safe and confidential environment.


I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a Member of the Institute for Learning (MifL).



I work with both individuals and couples on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully.

I am experienced in helping clients who have experienced difficulties such as:

My practice is located in Colchester, Essex - within easy walking distance of the High Street, Crouch Street, shops, bus routes, car parks and the station.
